Despite abstain votes outnumbering the tally for the presidential seat, unopposed candidates from Isanliyab Servant Leaders' Union (ISLU) dominated the Institute of Education (IE) Student Council (SC) positions, alongside one independent candidate, announced at the FEU Elections 2026 proclamation held at the Pavilion 1 last May 7.

Charles Delfin from ISLU was hailed as the president with a total vote of 84, while 110 students opted to abstain, marking a higher abstention count than votes cast.

The rest of the SC posts were mostly filled by ISLU, with Neizha Aton elected as vice president garnering 153 votes, Ian Paul Mengote as secretary with 151 votes, and Peter Pinca as treasurer with 145 votes.

Meanwhile, independent candidate Dan Lloyd Aquino secured the public relations officer position with 149 votes.

IE recorded a higher voter turnout of 45.9 percent compared to last year's 21.02 percent, with 199 voters out of 435 students.
