Former Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management (ITHM) Dean Dr. Joy Sheelah Era bagged one of the Best Presentation Awards for her coffee farm-centered research at the International Conference on Responsible Tourism and Hospitality (ICRTH) 2025, awarded at the Lyceum of the Philippines University Cavite last June 18.

Era’s work is entitled ‘Reframing Coffee Farms: Challenges and Opportunities in Developing Coffee Farm Tourism.’

She is among the Top 20 presenters from ASEAN and tourism stakeholders of neighboring countries.

Now in its fifth year, ICRTH is a week-long industry event spearheaded by the Sarawak Research Society under the Centre for Responsible Borneo mission to forward discourse on responsible tourism for sustainable development.
