#SportsBites: Eyeing their fifth overall title, the Far Eastern University Cheering Squad (FEUCS) seeks to show the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) a whole new world with a Disney ‘Aladdin’ theme for the Season 89 Cheerdance Competition (CDC) teased in a Facebook post last night, September 18.
FEUCS coach Randell San Gregorio first hinted at the concept by posting an image of the film’s magic lamp last September 15.
Following their ‘Frozen’ routine in Season 87, this will be the green-and-gold squad’s second performance with a Disney movie theme.
The reigning back-to-back third placers are on a streak of seven consecutive CDC podium finishes while also holding the record for the most medals with 23.
As of writing, the UAAP Season 89 CDC’s date and venue are yet to be officially announced.
