Far Eastern University (FEU) will temporarily hold online classes for both Manila and Makati campuses in light of the nationwide transport strike by PISTON and MANIBELA opposing the Public Transport Modernization Program (PTMP) tomorrow, September 23.

The protest follows the multiple denial of government officials to junk the program, including President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s rejection of 22 senators’ resolution last August.

FEU advised students to consult with their lecturers for class instructions. Meanwhile, the FEU Library will remain open until 5 p.m tomorrow.

FEU - Diliman, FEU - Alabang, FEU - Institute of Technology, and FEU High School also announced a shift in learning modalities for tomorrow.

Neighboring institutions such as the University of Santo Tomas, De La Salle University, and Adamson University also suspended face-to-face classes due to the strike.

This year’s sixth transport strike will occur tomorrow until Tuesday, September 24.

The University has yet to announce any modality changes for the strike’s second day.
