FEU ranks 74th in global list of innovative universities

Far Eastern University (FEU) remained the Philippines’ top institution in the World Universities with Real Impact (WURI) Ranking 2022 major category of Global Top 100 Innovative Universities, moving to 74th place from last year’s 79th spot.

For this year’s rankings, WURI had a gradual increase in participation with 792 innovative programs submitted for evaluation by 309 universities.

FEU Institute of Technology (FEU Tech) also joined the major category where it ranked at 98th spot. Both institutions also notched up in other categories of WURI that highlight Top 50 universities.

FEU has been ranked 15th in Ethical Value. It also took the 38th spot in Entrepreneurial Spirit, which is four rankings higher than it was last year. 

It placed 13th for Crisis Management and FEU is currently at the 28th spot for the Fourth Industrial Revolution area.

While FEU Tech ranked 30th in Entrepreneurial Spirit, 37th in Crisis Management category, 19th in Fourth Industrial Revolution, and 44th in the area of Student Mobility and Openness.

“The collective efforts of Philippine HEIs, assisted by CHED, are now showing results. We will continue accelerating internationalization, strengthening diplomatic relations, expanding linkages, and fostering partnerships to bring more HEIs in international rankings,” Commission on Higher Education Chairman Popoy De Vera said in a press release.

The country has now 12 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) on the list of WURI.
