#NewsBites: Reverend Father Edward Dantis, SSP, motivated graduating Tamaraws to continue their journey despite challenges faced during the Thanksgiving Mass at the Far Eastern University (FEU) Chapel earlier today, July 16.
During the homily, Rev. Fr. Dantis encouraged students to begin their journey despite the uncertainties, saying that the Lord will be present to provide strength.
“If you are still carrying a burden, you are [on] the right track. Because God did not promise us a very easy life. What He promised was [that] He will always be there… He will provide you with strength and perseverance,” he said.
Moreover, he reminded graduands that the challenges they face were not placed by the Lord without purpose, assuring them that they will be provided with guidance in every step.
“Start your career now that you are afraid. Start it now that you are not sure and certain of the future. Start it now when your heart is broken. Because the Lord will be with you every day of your life,” the priest shared.
Beyond seeking the Lord’s guidance, Rev. Fr. Dantis also urged Tamaraws to rest and find peace within themselves and in the things that bring them joy.
The Thanksgiving Mass is part of the annual FEU Send-Off festivities for graduating students before the commencement exercises, which will be held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City from July 21 to July 23.
