Despite falling to the Petro Gazz Angels (PGA) for the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024-2025 All-Filipino Conference title, Creamline Cool Smashers (CCS) and former Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws Bernadeth Pons and Kyle Negrito were recognized as the Best Outside Hitter (OH) and Best Setter, respectively, tonight, April 12, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

Prior to the said conference, the green-and-gold alumni can be recalled as the PVL’s last two Finals Most Valuable Players (MVP).

Pons ranked fifth among hitters with a minimum of 100 spikes, boasting a 34.35-percent success rate. The first-time PVL Best OH is also 17th in scoring with 126 total points.

Besides her firepower, the Cool Smasher’s floor defense stood out with 1.95 digs per set and a 40-percent efficient reception, good for first in digging and 10th in receiving among other hitters.

Meanwhile, Negrito’s averages of 4.85 sets and 0.25 aces per frame placed her second in setting and 12th in serving, helping her claim her second straight and third overall Best Setter recognition.

Petro Gazz’s Brooke Van Sickle and MJ Philips notched the Conference and Finals MVP awards, respectively, while Cignal HD Spiker Ishie Lalongisip clinched the Rookie of the Conference honors.

The rest of the awardee list was then filled by PLDT High Speed Hitter Savi Davison as the other Best OH, Cool Smasher Bea De Leon and Zus Thunderbelle Thea Gagate as the Best Middle Blockers, Farm Fresh Foxie Trisha Tubu as the Best Opposite Hitter, and Choco Mucho Flying Titan Thang Ponce as the Best Libero.

Besides CCS and PGA, the Akari Chargers completed the podium after defeating the Flying Titans for the bronze, also in a clincher game three.
