Far Eastern University (FEU) student-entrepreneur and owner of ‘CramBayan’ Kyle Jullen Zapata will dedicate some of her earnings to assist the transportation of fellow graduating students to the upcoming Graduation Ceremony set at the Newport Performing Arts Theater (NPAT) in Pasay City, amid continuous heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon.
The FEU Class of 2025 Commencement Exercises will be held from July 22 to 24.
In a personal post in the unofficial Facebook group of Tamaraws, One Piyu Community, Zapata stated she is able to extend help by providing transportation assistance.
“Very much willing to send financial help para makapag-Grab kayo bukas papuntang NPAT (I’m very much willing to send financial help so you can book a Grab tomorrow going to NPAT),” the post read.
Additionally, Zapata hoped that those who would reach out to her are the ones who genuinely need the help.
“I just hope na ‘yung totoong naapektuhan talaga ng baha at ulan ‘yung mag-message sakin at wag sana manloko (I just hope that only those who were truly affected by the flood and rain will message me, and I hope no one tries to deceive me),” it added.
For Tamaraw seniors who need financial assistance for transportation, they can contact Zapata through her Facebook account at Kyle Zapata.
Meanwhile, FEU Central Student Organization President Raezon Gonzales has posted on his personal account that they would be sending a petition letter to reschedule the ceremony.
As of writing, Metro Manila has been placed under a red rainfall warning by DOST-PAGASA expecting serious flooding.
Heavy rains are forecast to continue from Wednesday through Thursday afternoon.
