Far Eastern University - Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation (FEU-NRMF) alumnus Jhovan Pascual secured the fourth spot in the March-April 2025 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE), announced by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) last April 14.

Pascual recorded an 86.75-percent rating achievement.

However, FEU-NRMF recorded a decline in its institutional passing rate of 63.16 percent with 180 passers out of 285 examinees, which marks the institution’s lowest performance in recent years.

Further, the result reflects a continued downward trend for the medical institution, which consistently posted at least an 80-percent passing rate from 2014 to 2020, peaking at 98.34 percent in September 2018.

FEU-NRMF’s performance dipped below 70 percent for the first time in October 2024 with a 69.64-percent rate, followed by a further drop this period.

Nationally, 1,901 out of 3,827 examinees passed the exam, resulting in an overall passing rate of 49.67 percent.

The first PLE of the year was administered on March 30 and 31 and April 6 and 7 in several testing centers across the country, including Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
