Far Eastern University (FEU) Campus Ministry led the start of the Lent season through Ash Wednesday at the FEU Chapel today, March 5.
Mass presider Rev. Fr. Anil Kujur placed the ash markings among the FEU community during the 9 a.m. English mass.
Rev. Fr. Arnold Crisostomo presided over the 12 p.m. Tagalog mass, while Rev. Fr. Esmeraldo Enalpe for the 3 p.m. Tagalog mass. Rev. Fr. Vincent Bong Guinoo will lead the 5 p.m. English mass.
Moreover, Fr. Anil urged Tamaraws to embody Ash Wednesday’s three central themes through praying, fasting, and almsgiving.
The mass also prompted the community to beseech for the fast recovery of Pope Francis, who has been battling double pneumonia for almost three weeks.
The Lent season observes the Catholics’ 40-day preparation leading to the celebration of Holy Week, starting with this year's Palm Sunday on April 13.
