Far Eastern University (FEU) Academic Affairs Office (AAO) launched FEU Navigate, a student companion app that aims to integrate various University services into one platform during ‘FEU Navigate Unboxed: Unlocking Your Tatak Tamaraw Journey’ held at the Main Auditorium yesterday, September 23.
FEU Navigate can be accessed through Microsoft Power Apps and is composed of four main sections: Campus Life, My Academics, Care Space, and My Points.
During a live demonstration, Academic Standards Office Digital Content Creation and Development Director Anansa Dijan showcased the app’s different features and available services.
University announcements, the campus map, news updates, bulletin boards, and other University-related events can be accessed under Campus Life, while academic calendars, course summaries, and Canvas accounts are available under the My Academics section.
Furthermore, the Care Space section consists of different University services, such as Center for Learning Enrichment and Research for Students, FEU Learning Journey, Guidance and Counseling, and FEU Library among others.
Students can also earn rewards under My Points through regular use of the platform, which may be used to redeem University merchandise or University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) tickets.
In an online interview with FEU Advocate, FEU Alumni Relations Office (ARO) Director Celmer Santos shared that FEU Navigate was initiated by Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Maria Teresa Trinidad Tinio earlier this year.
“Ang FEU Navigate ay isang all-in-one student companion app na naglalayon na ilagay sa isang app ang lahat ng serbisyo o online access na kailangan ng isang estudyante sa buong journey nila sa FEU. Ito ay inisyatibo ni Dr. Trina Tinio (FEU Navigate is an all-in-one student companion app that aims to put within one app all the services or online access that students may need throughout their FEU journey. It is an initiative by Dr. Trina Tinio),” he highlighted.
FEU Navigate is headed by the AAO in collaboration with the Information Technology Office and Student Development and Continuing Education, with Santos and Dijan serving as project leads.
Santos highlighted the app’s main goal to consolidate campus resources into one app, making it a one-stop platform unlike the previous system where students had to access various services through different platforms.
“Ang layunin ay maging isang app na lamang ang pupuntahan ng mga estudyante para ma-access ang anumang serbisyo na kailangan nila (The goal is to have just one app that students can visit to access any services that they may need),” he shared.
In his discussion, Santos highlighted that FEU Navigate remains in its beta testing phase, which may cause glitches and occasional issues. Thus, students are encouraged to actively share their feedback and report problems to help improve the app.
The ARO Director also shared that among their future initiatives are the online submission and approval of student theses.
During the launch event, homegrown artist One FEU Music and Records performed for the crowd, followed by Filipino singer-songwriter Earl Agustin, who serenaded Tamaraws with his hit songs ‘Tibok’ and ‘Pag-ibig ng Ikaw at Ako.’
Agustin was originally part of the artist lineup for Tatak Tamaraw 2026 Welcome Fest Concert, which was postponed last August due to inclement weather.
Winners of the Hands-on Onboarding and Opportunities for Freshies were also announced during the event, in which they received University merchandise, iPad, and MacBook Air units.
Additionally, Alfredo Cafe distributed free cookies to the first 1,000 attending students.
