Far Eastern University (FEU) Wellness and Recreation Program (WRP) Department opens a series of wellness activities under ‘WRP Xtra’ to provide additional credit hours for students held on November 12 to 15 and 25.
Participants can earn a maximum of three extra credit hours after participating in the given activities.
However, students may only join one session per semester, regardless of the number of WRP courses a student is enrolled in.
With the theme 'Mind and Motion: Integrating Mental Health and Motion,' the event consists of three sessions per day with different speakers, topics in mind, and movement.
The three sessions include ‘Stress Less, Move More: Energizing Mental Wellness,’ ‘Emotional Motion: Navigating the Waves of Mental Well-Being,’ and ‘Resilience in Motion: Strengthening Minds through Movement,’ which foster mental and body wellness.
WRP Xtra activities for November 12, 14, 15, and 25 will be held at the FEUture Center Auditorium, catering to a maximum of 200 students each session.
Moreover, the venue for Xtra activities last November 13 was at the University Conference Center located at Arts Building Room 101, with only 180 slots available per session.
The activity can be booked through the MS Forms provided in the Canvas announcement by the department.
Additionally, second-year Psychology student Xynith Geronimo expressed her sentiment about not being able to secure slots for the Xtra activities due to the limited number of slots available.
“I was able to access the WRP Booking site, however, there were no slots left despite minutes of it being posted,” Geronimo said.
FEU Advocate has tried to reach out to the WRP Department regarding WRP Xtra, however, they are yet to respond.
Students need to fulfill at least 20 credit hours by the end of semester, depending on the number of WRP courses they are taking to pass the course.
