The annual ‘One Concierto Piyu’ marked the culmination of the 93rd founding anniversary celebration of Far Eastern University (FEU) with a fundraising livestream concert last Thursday.

With the theme “Himig ng Kabataan Tungo sa Malayang Bayan,” one hundred percent of the virtual event's proceeds will be forwarded to non-government organizations that aims to address the needs of the students that are braving the distance learning amid new normal setup.

For this year, FEU Central Student Organization (FEUCSO) teamed up with Tuloy Tulay Eskwela to give out mobile tablets to up to 15 public school students and with Tulay Philippines in providing prepaid Wi-Fi and mobile load assistance to college students.

Homegrown Tamaraw artists took the spotlight during the Concierto as performers from various Institutes serenaded the viewers with Original Pinoy Music (OPM) favorites and original composition songs including “Bahaghari.”

Among the featured performers are talents from One Piyu Music, Institute of Accounting, Business, and Finance (IABF) Powerband, Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (ITHM) Music Makers, Institute of Architecture and Fine Arts (IARFA) Pastorale, Institute of Engineering (IE) Band, FEU Makati Balanse, and Battle of the Bands winner Institute of Arts and Sciences (IAS) Sessionistas.

Aside from the lineup of performers, special appearances from The Juans, Youtube Sassa Gurl, Mr. Renz Saavedra, Dr. Gia Sison, Representative Sarah Elago, Ms. Samira Gutoc, and Sorsogon Governor Francis “Chiz” Escudero graced the livestream event to share meaningful messages to the Tamaraw community.

The guests also encouraged the studentry to register as a voter for the upcoming 2022 national and local elections.

The concert raised around 18,000 pesos worth of donations towards the end of the concert. It was organized by FEUCSO in partnership with FEU Student Development (SDev).
