Far Eastern University (FEU) Lady Tamaraws formally welcomed Filipino-American combo guard Amyah Espanol to the team's cagebelle pool in an official Facebook post today, July 6.
Before transferring to FEU, the 5'7" gunner played one year for Davenport University in the National Collegiate Athletic Association, averaging 2.3 points and 1.1 rebounds in 9.2 minutes per game.
In her stint at Renaissance High School, the Detroit native recorded 14 markers, six boards, and four steals per game as a senior and was proclaimed Offensive Player of the Year as a junior. She also received two separate All-State recognitions in her sophomore and junior years.
The cagebelle initially committed to University of Santo Tomas, but ultimately opted for FEU.
After one year of residency in the upcoming season, Espanol will rep the green-and-gold threads in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines Season 88.
