Fire hits 2 houses in Quiapo

#NewsBites: A second-alarm fire razed two houses along Bilibid Viejo Street in Quiapo, Manila, displacing two families last night, June 8.

Lasting from 10:08 to 10:47 p.m., the fire affected at least 10 individuals.

According to Fire Senior Inspector Cesar Babante, the blaze accounted for around P50,000 worth of damages.

Babante also cited an electrical issue as a possible cause of fire.

The residential area is also composed of houses with light materials and narrow streets.

As of writing, the residents have listed their names to be submitted to the Manila Department of Social Welfare before they are forwarded to various offices for help.
