Far Eastern University (FEU) Tams FX (TFX) Atlas dominated four other schools to punch a ticket in the Group Stage of the AcadArena Alliance Games Call of Duty: Mobile (COD:M) Split 3 held last March 19.

The Morayta-based team went on a clean record with a 2-0 win against all teams, including Carlos Hilado Memorial State University Talisay, Systems Plus Colleges Foundation, Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan and the Polytechnic University of the Philippines Manila.

In an online interview with FEU Advocate, TFX Atlas Team Captain Edsel Paguia (TFX Edsel) shared his joy despite the struggles they faced amid the University’s midterms week.

“[It] feels super good since second try namin ‘yun for a Groups spot. Last Sunday kasi [is] midterms [week] so we couldn't perform like how we usually do, lalo na't mga Nursing at MedTech ‘yung majority ng teammates (It feels super good since it is our second try for a Groups spot. Because last Sunday was midterms week so we couldn’t perform like how we usually do, especially since the majority of my teammates take Nursing and MedTech),” he said.

Paguia was joined by Kharl Paras (TFX McFly), Mario Padel (TFX Cash), James Esperat (TFX ynx), Juan Miguel Hernaez (TFX Goyong), and reserve players Ivan Timothy Calayca (TFX Tim) and Michael Palparan (TFX LITMIKE).

With the win, the team captain also hoped on getting better support from the school and esports fans.

“Hopefully, this season we get the support we want kasi (because) we really work hard to represent FEU considering ang daming gamers sa (there is a lot of gamers in the) school,” he added.

TFX Atlas now prepares for the upcoming Group Stage competition and will seek to continue its playoffs streak appearance since 2021.
