After playing in the 2025 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Women’s Futsal Asian Cup qualifiers last January, Far Eastern University (FEU) Lady Tamaraw Booter Dionesa ‘Inday’ Tolentin was granted the ‘Pinay Futbolera of the Year’ award by the Philippine Women’s Football Association (PWFA) last Saturday, March 29.

Tolentin started making her presence known as she was named Most Valuable Player in the last University Athletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 86 women’s football tournament.

The Morayta-based footballer was quick to build her arsenal of individual accolades after receiving the Best Midfielder and Golden Boot awards this Season 87, which proved vital in completing a three-peat for FEU.

Soon enough, the green-and-gold athlete played a significant role in steering the national futsal team to qualify for the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup that will take place from May 6 to 17 in China.

With FEU teammates Althea and Regine Rebosura, Tolentin continued to show promise as she found herself with a slot among a 23-player training pool that will determine the 14-player roster that will compete in the said tournament.

With Tolentin’s remarkable achievements and contributions to the football scene, the PWFA saw her deserving to be hailed Pinay Futbolera of the Year.

The Morayta striker is currently playing for Kaya FC - Iloilo in the Philippine Football Federation Women’s League at the top of the standings with a 2-0 win-loss record.
