Far Eastern University (FEU) alumna Ganiel Krishnan triumphed as second runner-up in the 2021 Miss World Philippines (MWP) last October 4.
After a series of deliberations, the 27-year old Cavite representative bagged the title of second Princess among 44 other candidates.
In addition, the beauty queen also received special awards such as Miss Multimedia and Miss Teviant Charity.
In a tweet after the coronation night, Krishnan expressed her gratitude for the support, followed by a playful question, addressing her impromptu reporting when asked by the MWP host on stage.
“Salamat po sa inyong lahat. Okay ba yang biglaang report? Hahaha (Thank you everyone. Was the impromptu reporting okay?),” she tweeted.
Prior to her MWP tilt, Krishnan won Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia-Pacific in 2016 which opened the opportunity to represent the Philippines for Miss Asia Pacific International, finishing second runner-up.
In the same year, she also got the second runner-up title in Miss Manila.
Krishnan was FEU’s courtside reporter for two seasons in the University Athletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP) and is currently a Star Patroller for ABS-CBN.
After a year of postponement, MWP coronation night finally pushed through last Sunday evening, October 3.
Tracy Maureen Perez from Cebu City was hailed as Miss World Philippines 2021 and will be representing the country in the upcoming 70th Miss World in Puerto Rico in December.
As of writing, Krishnan has already announced her resignation to the MWP organization to continue being a journalist.
