Far Eastern University (FEU) Nursing alumna Dr. Emma Cuenca was selected as one of the 50 nurse leaders from the United States to take part in the American Association of Colleges of Nursing’s Elevating Leaders in Academic Nursing (ELAN) Program announced last August 28. 

Cuenca graduated from FEU in 1977 and became the former President of FEU Nursing Alumni Foundation Inc. USA from 2010 to 2011. 

She also completed her doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of San Diego in 2013 and is currently an Associate Adjunct Professor and Director of University of California, Los Angeles’ Nursing pre-licensure programs.

ELAN is a program designed to enhance the leadership skills of aspiring deans and senior faculty members in leadership roles within academic nursing.
