Far Eastern University (FEU) Center for the Arts (FCA) showcased performances featuring the works of National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab in ‘Pasko sa Piyu 2024: Kumukutikutitap’ at the FEU Grandstand tonight, November 29.
The celebration highlighted the cultural talents of FCA organizations, such as the FEU Drummers, FEU Drum and Bugle Corps, FEU Chorale, FEU Theater Guild, FEU Dance Company, and FEU Bamboo Band.
Moreover, the music presented included ‘Hibang sa Awit,’ ‘Munting Sanggol,’ ‘Araw Gabi,’ ‘Tuwing Umuulan at Kapiling Ka,’ and ‘Limandipang Tao.’
This marks the second year of the symbolic lighting of FEU sustainability-themed Christmas tree after it replaced the ‘Yema Tree’ last year which was followed by a fireworks display.
This year’s event was also held during a special activity period after student-leaders opposed its original schedule coinciding with the activity period last Wednesday, November 27.
Pasko sa Piyu is an annual event of the University to celebrate the holiday season in the green-and-gold community.
