#NewsBites: With a total of 13,441 expected examinees per the Supreme Court (SC), aspiring lawyers officially begin the three-day 2026 Bar Examinations today, September 6.

According to the SC, this year marks the highest number of admitted applicants recorded to date, surpassing last year’s 13,193.

The bar examinations will be held in several universities across Metro Manila and selected provinces, including University of Santo Tomas and San Beda University along the University Belt.

In line with this, the Manila City government implemented road closures near the testing sites until 7 p.m., including the streets of Mendiola, Legarda, Dapitan, Lacson, Padre Noval, and España Boulevard.

This year’s bar examinations will continue on September 9 and 13.

As of writing, Far Eastern University has yet to announce a shift in learning modality amid the expected road closures on September 9.

Last year, the University produced 58 Tamaraw lawyers out of 67 takers, marking an 86.57-percent passing rate.
