Far Eastern University (FEU) Information Technology Services (ITS) Infrastructure and Cybersecurity Head Joseph Paul Sianghio clarified that the emails of non-enrollment were initially sent to students "to understand any challenges students might be facing that prevented their enrollment."
However, some of the recipients already processed and secured their enrollment at the same time the emails were messaged by FEU Mailer last January 11.
“We noticed that you have not enrolled yet for this semester. How can we assist you to ensure you don't miss out on valuable learning experiences, school activities, and time with your friends?” the email read.
Furthermore, Sianghio added that they aimed to offer assistance in completing enrollment in case that the student is not yet enrolled.
Additionally, the emails were sent as agreed upon by the Marketing and Communication Office, Office of the University Registrar, and Chief Finance Officer.
ITS sent confirmation emails last Monday, January 13, to students who are enrolled "to clarify any confusion caused by the previous email."
Through FEU Central Student Organization, ITS also urged students to disregard the initial email and rather confirm their enrollment status through their Certificate of Recognition, announced last Monday.
