FEU lauds 362 graduands with Latin honors, other awards

Far Eastern University (FEU) awarded 362 outstanding graduating students with Latin honors and special citations during the 2024 Academic Excellence Recognition Ceremony at the FEU Main Auditorium today, July 4.

Eight students from the Institute of Arts and Sciences and one student from both the Institute of Accounts, Business, and Finance (IABF) and Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management were honored with the highest academic distinction, summa cum laude.

Moreover, 68 students were awarded magna cum laude while 284 students with cum laude

The event also recognized footballer Katrina Magbitang as the first-ever Alfredo Reyes Sports Excellence awardee and Jaimee Valerie Jonson from the Institute of Architecture and Fine Arts as this year's lone recipient of The Outstanding Senior Student award.

IABF students also received Academic and Leadership Excellence Awards from FEU partner companies.

Dominic Felices and Trexie Deanne Del Mundo were given the KPMG R. G. Manabat & Co. Academic and Leadership Excellence Award, respectively. 

Meanwhile SyCip, Gorres, & Velayo Co. awarded Anna Cecilia Olgado, Kyle Marie Ungria, and Ian Erol Magahis with Academic Excellence, while Rojean Khate Escat, Rejinnah Del Rey, and Racel Charlize Canillas with Leadership Excellence.

Olgado also received the National Association of CPAs in Education Academic Excellence Award.

Reyes Tacandong & Co. hailed Joise Danylle Diaz and John Gonato as Academic and Leadership Excellence Awards recipients, respectively.

Denise Vhiriel Interior received the PwC Philippines Isla Lipana & Co. Academic Excellence Award while Aileen Grace Claveria secured the Leadership Excellence Award.

Additionally, the ceremony proclaimed Vanessa Erica Aguilar as the Deloitte Philippines Academic Excellence awardee with Richa Carina for the Leadership Excellence.

Allan Viloria and Carl Justine Paguio were named as the Punongbayan & Araullo Academic Excellence and Leadership Excellence honorees, respectively.

The 2024 Commencement Exercises will be held at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City on July 10 to 12.
