FCA features OPM classics for Pasko sa Piyu 2025

#NewsBites: Far Eastern University (FEU) and FEU Center for the Arts (FCA) highlighted classic Original Pilipino Music (OPM) in performances for ‘Pasko sa Piyu 2025 – Campus Christmas Jam: Tunog Maynila, Tunay na Pasko!’ at the FEU Plaza and Grandstand tonight, November 28.

The event showcased FCA’s cultural performers, including the FEU Chorale, FEU Dance Company, FEU Drum and Bugle Corps, FEU Drummers, FEU Guides, FEU Theater Guild, and FEU Bamboo Band.

Emphasizing the theme ‘Tunog Maynila, Tunay na Pasko,’ the student-artists performed ‘70s OPM classics including ‘Panalangin,’ ‘Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko,’ ‘Awitin Mo at Isasayaw Ko,’ ‘Pasko Na Naman,’ and ‘Sumayaw Sumunod.’

Additionally, the program held a competition for the best ‘70s retro-themed attire for the green-and-gold community.

Along with this, the main event of lighting the FEU sustainability-themed Christmas tree, followed by a fireworks display concluded the event, illuminated the campus. 

Pasko sa Piyu is an annual celebration of the University and the FCA to mark the start of the holiday season within the Tamaraw community.
