#TAMFlix: Kilabot sa Lamig

Handa ka na bang makaramdam ulit ng mga kaluluwa at makakita ng kakaiba ngayong Buwan ng Katatakutan? Sa lamig ng simoy ng hangin at sa bawat ihip nito, kaakibat ang kilabot na nararamdaman ng bawat isa ngayong Araw ng mga Patay. Hindi makaliligtaan na nariyan ang mga nagsusulputan at nagsisilabasang mga dekorasyon, mga sabi-sabi ng mga matatanda, at mga palabas na gigimbal sa’yo.

Handog ng #TAMFlix ang mga pelikulang Pilipino na maaaring maging rason ng iyong takot at magpatitindig ng iyong mga balahibo. Kaya naman, humanda nang yakapin ang isa’t isa dahil iisa-isahin natin ang mga Kilabot sa Lamig.

The air was filled with anticipation as Batch 2027 student-nurses gathered at the Far Eastern University (FEU) Main Auditorium for the 70th Capping and Candle Lighting Ceremony last October 19. Dressed in their crisp white uniforms, they prepared to receive their nursing caps and light candles, honoring the profession’s time-honored tradition. However, as the ceremony began, what should have been a moment of triumph for many began to illuminate the cracks beneath the surface.

When art and an advocacy to serve the community unite, they create a passion-driven masterpiece made by collaboration. Far Eastern University’s (FEU) Institute of Architecture and Fine Arts (IARFA) and Rise Against Hunger Philippines (RAHP) aim to raise awareness about fighting against hunger through painting and volunteering. This collaboration launched Jeepney Soup Kitchen and ready to hit the road where needed, it was unveiled to trailblaze its outreach and community service journey.

In the prestigious auditorium of the green-and-gold community, the sound of drums echoes as the Far Eastern University Drums & Bugle Corps (FEU-DBC) provides a performance driven by passion and perseverance. On its comeback to the stage, assistant artistic director Koowie Ison Relevo was given the chance to play and share his passion for music and experience. The concert that took place at the FEU Main Auditorium mesmerized not just the Tamaraw community, but also alumni and guests last September 28.

Each Tamaraw can attest that ‘Hell weeks’ consist of coffee, cramming, and deadlines, which is why a few new coffee pubs have emerged around Far Eastern University (FEU). However, one café simply remains as “the OG.” Now celebrating a decade of tasteful service, Café Alfredo plans to open a new spot for the community to enjoy.
